Jelly Belly Turns Green for St. Patrick’s Day
FAIRFIELD, CALIF., Mar. 3, 2014 — On the heels of its launch of the world’s first beer flavored jelly bean, Draft Beer Jelly Belly® jelly beans, Jelly Belly Candy Company took a page from brewers all over the world and has turned the flavor green for St. Patrick’s Day. (See the video below.)
The St. Patrick’s Day Draft Beer bean will be available on March 14 exclusively and in limited supply at Jelly Belly Visitor and Tour Centers in California and Wisconsin. Craft beer lovers can celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with their own supply of this exclusive Jelly Belly jelly bean.
Both Draft Beer and its celebratory green counterpart feature an effervescent and crisp flavor. For St. Patrick’s Day, the normally golden shell is replaced by a shimmering emerald finish. Beer connoisseurs will find the flavor profile to be clean with notes of wheat and a touch of sweetness. The aroma is mildly bready. While the bean packs a flavor punch, it is alcohol free. Draft Beer and green Draft Beer are not available in Jelly Belly jelly bean mixes; they are sold in single flavor only.
